Summer Ready

Top Tips For Staying Cool & Comfortable

  • Hydrate strategically: Aim for steady sips through the day. Proper hydration supports body temp regulation and reduces irritation from salty sweat.

  • Choose breathable fabrics: Lightweight, moisture-wicking underwear (micro-mesh or bamboo) reduces sweat build-up around the cage. Avoid thick seams where the ring sits.

  • Go lighter and smoother: In hotter months, consider a lighter cage or vented design. Smooth finishes help prevent chafing when you sweat.

  • Perfect the fit: Heat can cause slight swelling. Ensure you have a ring and spacer combo with a bit of “give.” If anything feels tight, downshift your wear time or switch to a larger ring.

  • Use the right glide: A drop of water-based, fragrance-free lubricant on hot spots (base ring contact points, underside) can reduce friction. Reapply after showering. Avoid oils if your device is polycarbonate.

  • Keep it dry: Pat dry after showering and throughout the day. A talc-free, anti-chafe powder or a light moisture-control cream helps prevent heat rash.

  • Freshen up midday: If possible, do a quick wash-and-dry or use unscented wipes. Sweat + friction = irritation, so reset when you can.

  • Time your longest wear: Plan extended wear for cooler periods (evenings, overnights) and take short, scheduled breaks during peak heat if your routine allows.

  • Mind movement: For workouts or long walks, consider a supportive pouch brief to reduce bounce and friction. Cool down and rinse after activity.

  • Watch for warning signs: Persistent redness, sharp pain, numbness, or skin breakdown means it’s time to unlock, clean, and rest the area before resuming.

  • Night comfort: Use a breathable sleep brief. If nocturnal swelling is common in summer, shorten overnight wear or adjust sizing.

  • Clean consistently: In hot weather, clean the device and skin more frequently. Rinse sweat salts away daily; do a thorough clean several times a week.

Note: Follow the above instructions and discontinue wear if you experience pain or skin damage.
