Here’s a quick, reliable way to apply our water‑transfer temporary tattoo's.
What you’ll need
- Temporary tattoo
- Clean cloth or paper towel
- Scissors (optional)
- Water
- Soap and water or rubbing alcohol (to clean skin)
Steps
- Pick the spot
- Choose clean, dry, flat skin (inner forearm, upper arm, calf). Avoid joints, oily areas, hair, or irritated skin.
- Clean the skin
- Wash with soap and water, then dry completely. For best adhesion, wipe lightly with rubbing alcohol and let dry.
- Trim the tattoo (optional)
- Cut close to the design to make placement easier.
- Remove the clear top sheet
- Expose the inked side that will go against your skin.
- Position the tattoo
- Place face-down on the skin; hold firmly so it doesn’t shift.
- Wet the backing paper
- Soak a cloth or paper towel with cool water. Press it evenly against the paper backing for 20–40 seconds. Keep it fully wet; don’t slide it.
- Peel carefully
- Gently lift a corner of the backing. If the design doesn’t release easily, press and wet for 10–15 more seconds. Then peel the paper off slowly.
- Set and dry
- Let the tattoo air-dry for 1–2 minutes. Avoid stretching or rubbing the area for at least 10 minutes.
Tips for longer wear
- Avoid lotions, oils, and sunscreen on the area before and after application.
- Pat dry after showers; don’t rub.
- Friction from clothing will shorten its life.
Removal
- Rub gently with baby oil, makeup remover, or rubbing alcohol; wait 30–60 seconds, then wipe away. Wash with soap and water.
